Krasnodar Territory court will hear a protection of privacy lawsuit filed by aluminium tycoon Oleg Deripaska against model and writer Anastasia Vashukevich, alias Nastya Rybka, and blogger Alexander Kirillov, alias Alex Leslie, on 27 March. The lawsuit also named as third parties opposition leader Alexei Navalny, editor in chief of Znak.com website Aksana Panova and the Mediazona website.

The case was to be heard at the Ust-Labinsky district court on 1 March but the hearing was cancelled and then moved to the regional court. On 5 March, the Krasnodar Territory court told Interfax news agency that Navalny, Panova and Mediazona figure as third parties in the lawsuit.

Deripaska accused Vashukevich and Kirillov of illegally disseminating information about his private life, including posting photos and videos of him without his consent. The information was used by Navalny’s anti-corruption foundation FBK, which alleged that Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Prikhodko sailed on Deripaska’s yacht accompanied by escorts including Vashukevich. Ust-Labinsky court ordered that Internet watchdog Roskomnadzor limited access to web resources which posted Deripaska’s personal information, including two pages on Navalny’s website. Navalny later removed the materials regarding Deripaska from his website, and his website was removed from the register of banned information by Roskomnadzor.
