“Dad Kills Kids and Self:” The Philip Marshall Story

There are 27,386 books about the 9/11 attack currently being sold on  Amazon.

The authors of 27,385 of them are still alive, or dead from natural causes.

That leaves Philip Marshall, author of a self-published book about 9/11 called “The Big Bamboozle.”

In a small town in Northern California earlier this month, Marshall, a 56-year old ex-airline pilot, murdered his two children, Alex and Macaila, in their sleep, and then took his own life.

“A Murphy’s man killed his two children with a Glock 9mm handgun before turning the weapon on himself at his home in Forest Meadows late last week,” reported the local newspaper.

When deputies arrived, the paper reported, they found the children dead, lying on the couch with gunshot wounds, along with a dog that belonged to Marshall’s estranged wife.

“Former airline captain Philip Marshall, 54, killed his son Alex, 17, and daughter Macaila, 14, each with a single bullet to the head, as they slept nestled under blankets on the living room couch. He then pointed the gun at his head and committed suicide.”

That’s what happened…at least if you believe the police.

Human tragedy…or sinister black op?

But there are others today encouraging the notion that the Marshall family tragedy was, instead, a sinister government ‘black op.’

Marshall, these people say, was in possession of secret knowledge about the 9/11 attack, which he was about to reveal to a waiting world.

In “The Big Bamboozle” Marshall 'reveals' that “the sad truth is that all of the solid evidence points to a dark collaboration between members of the Bush Administration and a covert group of Saudi government officials.”

Wow. Fasten your seatbelts.  The only big shocker is that Philip Marshall appears to be the last person to discern Saudi influence behind the 9/11 attack.  It’s not even front page news. And its certainly nothing to kill him over.

If it were, there would be at least 15,000 authors, Madsen and myself among them,  already dead.

But those selling the notion that Marshall was murdered ignore his book, so embarrassingly obscure that few knew of its existence before his death.

Instead they cite the brief relationship Marshall had over 30 years ago with Barry Seal, a life-long CIA pilot whose cocaine smuggling in military C123 military cargo planes funded the Contra’s war in Nicaragua and fueled the cocaine epidemic of the 1980’s.

Marshall himself used this brief association, in his author’s bio on Amazon, to spin a tale of nearly life-long derring-do.

But while this may be understandable hyperbole by an author hoping to hype his book, its embarrassingly thin gruel as support for an allegation of a government murder and cover-up.

A bad attitude can sometimes be a good thing

And this is where I entered the picture, after receiving several dozen increasingly frantic emails from people who knew of my book about Barry Seal, wondering what I knew, and what I was going to do, about this unspeakable government crime.

Asked one, “Are you following the Phillip Marshall thing?”

I replied, “Nope. Looks like suicide to me.”

At that, my correspondent got a little snarky with me, which is okay; I can—and sometimes do—get snarky with the best of them.  “Well I guess this guy from the NSA doesn't know what he's talking about,” he sneered.

One the creepiest things about the community of people who find themselves dissatisfied with the lies they hear from the government is that these same people, who pride themselves on being the sort you can’t pull the wool over, no matter what, are as reliant on authority figures as the “sheeple” they bemoan.

The only thing about Philip Marshall’s death that is even potentially extraordinary is that he had a brief brush with the dark side of the force half-a-lifetime ago. Some apparently think this somehow gave him the keys to the hidden vault of secrets.

Similarly, reporter Wayne Madsen, because of former employment at the NSA, must perforce be privy to secret knowledge mere mortals of the non-spook variety will never understand. Madsen himself, who I consider a friend, would be the first to deny this.

Even well-respected author Anthony Summers, about whom I have not yet written (waiting for the bile to subside first) kept looking to his "sources" in the CIA and FBI to validate eyewitness testimony from creditable eyewitnesses on the ground in Venice Florida.

He was waiting for some authority figure to give him the shot.

The result was that when his tome on 9/11 was released,  the only shocking new finding he could point to hadn't even made it into the book.

I was soon to learn that there is nothing but Marshall’s long-ago association with Barry Seal on which to base allegations of government assassination. This is evidenced by the fact that the name of Barry Seal, a man dead for more than 30 years, recurs almost more often in stories of Marshall’s death than does his own.

The hall of (very smudged-up) mirrors

So: here is where we enter the funhouse. But before we do, let’s consider what is at stake.

This is, after all, America, the country which is home to more REAL conspiracies than exist in all of the rest of the world combined.

So one must feel somewhat conflicted when forced to choose between these two views of the Marshall family tragedy: it was “A black ops hit made to appear as a suicide,” as a headline for one of Madsen’s articles has it.

Or…well, let’s let someone who was there, Kevin Raggi, the Coroner in Calaveras County (made famous by Mark Twain’s short story “The Jumping Frogs of Calaveras County”) describe the other way of viewing the crime.

Raggi  told local reporters that it was one of the most heartbreaking scenes he’d ever seen, adding “Everyone was having a hard time.”

“You walk in there and you lose your breath and want to walk out and start crying,” he said. “It was heartbreaking. It’s incomprehensible.”

Was it just another unspeakable human tragedy, in a time, and a country, where such things have become all too common? Or was it a fiendish government black op designed to keep ‘we the people’ from ever learning the truth?

"Going back to school"

I was pointed to a transcript of a radio interview of Madsen conducted by Kevin Barrett,  a self-styled "American Jihadist."

Read a typical comment left on Jarret’s website after Madsen's interview, "Speaking of “government” (i.e. Bolshevik Jewish) treachery, I’m sure most readers here have by now heard of (and/or seen) the so-called “No More Hesitation” targets being offered to “law enforcement” agencies by (and I’m going to out on a limb here and speculate) some Jew-owned company,”

“He was a former associate of the CIA/DEA informant Barry Seal, the notorious CIA cocaine smuggler,” opined Jarrett on the show. “And if you think Phillip Marshall killed himself and his two children as the police are trying to claim; well, I don’t know…you need to go back to school.”

His guest, Wayne Madsen, is a (usually) more creditable source.

“Well Phillip Marshall, I have to admit,” Madsen tells Jarrett, “I wasn’t all that familiar with his work. But when I read his biography along with the…some really scurrilous news reports that, ‘yknow, he was this, ‘yknow, this repressed killer who snapped, and put a gun on the head of his 17 year old son and his 14 year old daughter, and his little pet Shih Tzu, Suki, y’know, you start to wonder what in the world is going on here.”

The implication that there is something unusual about a “repressed killer who snapped and put a gun to the head of his 17-tear old son and 14-tear old daughter" seems a little…unusual.

"Dad kills kids & self"

Here’s a quick investigation that you can perform right at home: Google "dad kills kids and self."

Then read (if you have the stomach for it)  all 84 million hits. I sifted through a few:

Husband of missing Utah mom kills sons, self;

Dad kills wife & kids, then himself over Obama's re-election

Father killed his two children and then himself after family split

DA: Mass. dad shoots 2 kids, 1 fatally, kills self

Quebec Father Kills Children & Self — Burns Garage

Herndon father shot wife, children before killing himself

Father kills his two children then himself on trip to Grand Canyon

I stopped after reading a deeply disturbing story out of Boynton Beach Florida, where a father killed his two sons as their mother begged for their lives. Then, after telling her he’d let her live so that she could suffer forever, he shot himself.

A verifiable fact amidst a the heavy breathing

By itself this isn’t proof that Marshall wasn’t killed by the government. But added to the fact  that, of the 27,000 books on 9/11, all but Marshall are sleeping peacefully at night sets the bar pretty high for anyone seeking to prove he was murdered.

A bar the self-promoting nay-sayers apparently don’t even know exists.

Consider the one verifiable fact amidst all the heavy breathing abiut a government black op, Marshall’s association with Barry Seal.

Here’s what happened:

Seal’s pilot’s license had been suspended while he awaited trial in Miami. He engaged Marshall to fly him back and forth between there and his home in Baton Rouge.

The much-older Seal did have one protégé who was Marshall’s age, a man I found and interviewed for Barry & 'the boys.' Of the dozens of close Seal associates I interviewed, not one ever mentioned Philip Marshall.

In fairness, the world of aviation in Louisiana, which I wrote about in a book about Barry Seal called “Barry & the boys,’ can best be described as “murky.”

At last, a real eyewitness

But someone who knew Marshall at this time, his ex-wife, Ann Kallauner, a nurse in Louisiana, offered some clarity. Kallauner was wed to Marshall in 1985 (exactly the time frame when Marshall knew Seal.)

She told the local Union Democrat that her ex-husband “provided a kind of taxi service for Barry Seal, who the paper (inaccurately) reported  “was assassinated by a trio of Medellin Cartel henchmen from Colombia.”

Kallauner said Marshall met Seal through “a friend of a friend” while teaching other pilots to fly from Lakefront Airport in New Orleans.

After Seal had his pilot’s license revoked, he hired Marshall to fly with him between New Orleans and Miami or Fort Lauderdale.

Seal often flew while Marshall remained in the jump seat, but Marshall never went with him into Nicaragua, she said.

“He wasn’t any Contra pilot,” said Kallauner. “That was all just a fantasy.”

A close associate of Seal’s, who asked to remain nameless, confirmed to me that her recollections were correct.

Kallauner also recited a litany of characteristics, also voiced to reporters by those who knew him at the time of his death, that have become well-known as markers in this all-too-common type of crime.

Marshall had problems with alcohol, was attention-seeking, egotistical, could be mean, and had a temper. He was nearly fired after yelling at a superior at Eastern Air Lines. He would throw clubs in the water while golfing.

“He had a problem with authority figures in his life,” she said. “One time he wanted me to roll down the (car) window to yell at a police officer.”

When she refused, she recalled, “He kind of got mad and smacked me back against the seat.”

Could someone have “gotten” to the ex-wife? Well, sure.

Could they also have gotten to the current friends of Marshall’s, who—to avoid speaking poorly of the dead—have only delicately raised questions of  Marshall’s mental health at the time of his death?

Well, sure. But the only real question is: DID they? In the absence of compelling evidence to question their motives, the answer is simple. No, they did not. And here is where the disservice to the truth by attention-seekers and their  deluded and credulous followers becomes most apparent.

People who see conspiracies where none exist render ridiculous-by-association people questioning the multitude of  conspiracies that do.

More importantly, this is not the way things work in the real world.

How things work in the real world

America have not been kind to its real investigative journalists in recent years.

As a reporter for the Associated Press (but not for long), Robert Parry was the first to report on what came to be known as Iran Contra.

Pete Brewton did ground-breaking reporting at the Houston Post on the S & L scandal (The Mafia, CIA and George Bush” (1992) that led to his being shown the door.

And Gary Webb, who broke the story of CIA drug trafficking into the open, was summarily ushered out of newspaper reporting forever.

Webb represented a far greater threat to the powers that be than Phil Marshall ever could, even in his wildest dreams. But Webb wasn't murdered.

Gary Webb committed suicide on the day he lost his home. He'd already lost almost everything else: his family, his wife, his livelihood. An authentic American hero, Gary Webb was going to be moving home to live with his Mom.

He'd already asked his ex-girlfriend if he could share her apartment. At first she had said yes, but then changed her mind at the last minute, not wanting to lead him on in the hope that they'd rekindle a romance. Desperate, Webb asked his ex-wife if he could live with her until he regained his financial footing. She, too, refused.

Into the buzzsaw

On the night before losing his house, Webb lost his last real possession. His motorcycle was stolen.

He committed suicide the next day. And despite the nattering of clueless conspiracy theorists, I never doubted that that was exactly what happened.  And I have since had nothing but contempt for those who claim otherwise.

I'd been there. I'd spent a year living in motels after my first full-length documentary, "The Secret Heartbeat of America," failed to sell to television. I persisted. When Barry & the boys' was published, a lawsuit by one of Barry Seal's closest long-time associates kept the book out of bookstores for almost five years.

Again, I persisted. But I'd never tell anyone it was anything but a soul-killing dispiriting experience. It's an experience better people than me have faced again and again.

Telling the truth in America often feels like walking "Into The Buzzsaw," the title of a very good book about journalists exiled to the American gulag, a Siberia of the mind where nothing you do or report subsequently is ever treated seriously.

Expose anything this country's large institutions want kept under wraps… and the buzzsaw rips through you.

Because they don't have to kill you to render you ineffective.

For the oligarchy ruling this country today, that part is easy.

  1. Been lurking for a while in anticipation of your next post, and I wasn’t disappointed. Trust issues are Legion these days, and it’s real easy-peasy to go soft on objective analysis. Thank you for another reality touchstone to keep my bearings straight-and-true.

  2. Further – Congress critter are ready to give up on pot – once they know it is politically safe – or when they find out worse that continuing it is a loser. That is especially true of med-pot which already has 70%+ support. It will need 90% before the critters move. That time is not far off. In that respect the Democrats are in better shape. I see another Nov 1932 in our future.

  3. The feeling I get – and it is only my spidey sense – is that the powers are giving up on drug prohibition – the costs exceed the rewards. They will not rush out But they will give ground. Slowly.

Take the CIA – you used to be able to tell where they were operating by which drugs were flooding America. That is no longer the case. Where are the drugs going? Europe probably. Russia and China possibly. But the whole thing is winding down because it is no longer covert enough. Too much is known. McCoy’s book is free on the ‘net. Pot prohibition is failing – and once that is gone the rest will follow.

Take heroin. About 70% of female heroin users were sexually molested in childhood. It will be hard to continue punishment of those unfortunates when the word gets out. And then there is:

Medical Marijuana prohibition is a crime against humanity and a violation of the religious precept – heal the sick.

  4. Update (Rainbow Sally here):

    The mom was interviewed here.

She spent a lot of time with the kids’ friends.
    — excerpt
Plummer estimated that 20 to 30 teenagers have slept at her Angels Camp home every night since she returned from Turkey, crammed together in a downstairs room she called “The Cave.”.

That wasn’t so different from the state of things during Alex and Macaila’s lives, when at least 10 friends would sleep over each weekend.

    — end excerpt.

She planned to talk at some future time about mental illness and guns.

It is not clear where this ‘mental illness’ diagnosis came from, however, as it appears the Philip Marshall had been given custody of the kids by the courts (unverified but we know where the kids were living).

There’s no indication that Philip tried to limit contact with their mother or refused to let them travel with their mom.

Best wishes and deepest condolences for Seanie’s loss and for her courage in facing the future that she tried to secure for the children.

Tomorrow is another day, mom. Stay strong.

The toxicology results should be in any time now. I guess the coroner hopes testing for drugs will make sense out of how the two kids who died on Saturday at 3 pm and/or Thursday night slept through getting shot along with their dog (but not the cat).

On Feb 6 the Union Democrat reports:

The time of the discovery, 3 p.m. Saturday, will be listed as the official time of death.
    —- end excerpts.
    http://www.uniondemocrat.com/News/Local-News/More-murder-suicide-details

Among other strange details, the above article indicates that the wife whose account is the only person that knew him personally that provided a damaging character reference may have been video taped by Philip Marshall stealing opiates, after which she was arrested for breaking and entering, burglary, and possession of a controlled substance. Is that the ‘nurse’ who had so much to say about the man? But to balance things out the report also points out that someone somewhere thought he may have been spiraling into depression (which is not substantiated by the consistency of his posts from Jan 12-Jan 31, see twitter link below), and that this same ‘psychology expert’ evidently thinks that 91 percent of all males are likely to commit murder-suicides — or whatever that statistic is supposed to mean.

The sheriffs also allegedly said they’d look into whether or not Marshall was mentally ill and on medication, but that they would not release the results. Probably out of sensitivity for the accused suicide-assassin’s reputation, we might assume.

Fortunately for the sheriffs, their alibi is that their press release is barely what could be called “sketchy”. The press evidently pulled details such as the time of death out of thin air.

Note: If the cat was wounded in the senseless slaughter we may never know because the sheriffs quickly destroyed the evidence at the crime scene after their hasty conclusion as to what happened. The sweetest memorial to the family would be if a neighbor found the cat and took it in, I would think. But nobody’s talking up there. It’s almost like the whole area has been “terrorized”.

    The Sheriffs’ version:

In fact they didn’t tell whether paraffin tests were done, ballistics tests, to see if Marshall was indeed the killer, nor did they report any DNA from the cat which might have been wounded, since the alleged murderer managed to kill both of his kids, you’d imagine he’d have killed both of his pets too. And there’s no mention of photographs that might have been taken prior to the hasty cleanup of the crime scene. It appears that they relied only on ‘evidence found at the scene’, which is NOT specified in the press release.

So we ask, “WHAT EVIDENCE?” Was there any? Is there any now? (And who were the deputies that first advanced the “sleeping while getting shot” theory?)

And then there’s a question as to whether or not he killed any of them, actually.

    tarquin feb 5, 2013.
Phil was NOT depressed. He did NOT take his life. He did NOT murder his kids. Only a few days ago he said that “I have a gun, but it would be useless if I needed it because I got no bullets for it”, (then he laughed!). I knew Phil, and he had everything to live for and he doted over his two beautiful kids.

And it appears that the sheriffs themselves may not have been so sure either. For example, why did they contact the county supervisor that lived four doors down from Philip Marshall? Was it to get her opinion or to shape it.
    http://www.calaverasenterprise.com/news/article_71f9b8da-6e27-11e2-99e8-001a4bcf887a.html

Since the kids quit responding to text messages on Thursday and they didn’t go to school Friday, the coroner’s theory that the sleeping children were killed on Saturday afternoon (when the bodies were found) may be flawed. And if it is flawed, the most likely times of death would be Thursday.

Here’s Philip Marshall’s twitter page, not broken as of Feb 26, but you might want to download it.
    https://twitter.com/thebigbamboozle

Notice that his posts are consistent in their tone from Jan 12 to Jan 31 (the Thursday the family most likely died). One interesting change though is his change from using tmblr.co to fb.me about a week before his death, and another interesting detail is a broken link to an RT.com article that was about rupert murdoch and the movie zero dark thirty.

So the ONLY evidence publicly available besides the sheriffs and coroner’s theory contradicts their conclusion. If they have photos of the crime scene or other evidence that could make sense of their conclusions it would be in the public interest as well as their own to publish the evidence that so far has not been forthcoming. If they do have this important data, how long should ‘new’ be ‘aged’ before it becomes relevant?

Wayne Madsen scooped the story and has learned that Philip Marshall was right handed and that he died from a gunshot to his left temple. That he was right handed can be verified by photos on the net. That he was shot in the left temple can NOT be verified. And so how did Madsen come across this information and is it even correct? Did he get it from the sheriffs? Not to kick a dead horse, but did they take photos of the crime scene before destroying the evidence? And why did Madsen zero in on this story rather than the Christopher Dorner manhunt which had ten times the number of google hits and culminated in a positive ID from a wallet and ID that somehow survived the conflagration undamaged?

http://santabarbaraview.com has closed the thread (search “philip marshal victim”), just as the final insult is due in from the lab in Sacramento.

Looks to me like this football field has the field goals, not in the end zones, but at the cheerleaders’ benches.

In any case, Marshall ends one of his articles at the top of this page.

And there’s your dangerous destroyer of innocent lives he’d spent so many years taking great care to preserve, protect, and defend.

    – Rainbow Sally, aka Anonymous [Cat Lover] (or?) The attributions seem to be somewhat random but it’s me again. 🙂

  6. Hi Daniel. Me again (the cat lover) ;-).

So now the mystery of the cat is (shh) solved. There are the other elements to consider.

You are no stranger to psy-ops, so I’m sure you’ve noticed that things like this investigation tend to confuse the public. The simple psychology of confusion in a collective consciousness is that there will be several opinions (imaginative constructs) about objective events. As a result neither party focuses on the root problem (the cause of the confusion) but focuses on the faults in each others’ imaginings about the events.

So the buzz saw is what affect it has on the individuals. But there was no such pressure on Martial (though I don’t want to spin off to the J axis here). However there is the confusion and that appears to be the ONLY goal of some of these weird ‘official explanations’. It separates those who can believe the nonsense from those who cannot.

Does it behoove anyone to berate those who are grasping at straws for some kind of sense in the hall of mirrors?

Probably not, is my guess, because by picking on the little guys, the folks that don’t have experience, who don’t know any police or FBI folks personally, and who continually get knocked down by their friends as well as their enemies, only substantiates the ‘illusion’ that EVERYONE is against them, which tends to make one paranoid.

Anyway, now we know what happened to the cat. That’s good news.

And whether or not he knew anything about 9/11, his one meaningful contribution to the dialog was that after 20,000 hours flying those kinds of airplanes, he couldn’t hit the Pentagon until his 4th try.

Other than that, since stumbling into this mess, I discovered that he felt strongly that KSM was innocent. And now I’m thinking about that, though I hadn’t before.

And I share your apparent suspiction of Wayne Madsen, by the way. I can see how he found out that Marshall was right handed, but I’d be interested to know how he decided Philip Marshall was shot in the left temple.

Your page here is enchanting, or should I say entrancing, by the way. 😉 But are you sure psy-ops are limited to onesies? I think they are becoming cultural.

PS. Which wife did he video stealing opiates and hiding in a tree? Was it the one who claimed he made everything up? There’s definitely more here.

  7. Point well made Mr. H. Why get your hands dirty when you can simply render people irrelevant? Just being an aware individual in our society is enough to make us suicidal/homicidal anyway. Even the people who aren’t seem like they can’t wait to do it, especially of late.

  8. the cat went into witness protection. keep it to yourself though, okay? these people are ruthless. more importantly, if there was anything at to indicate Marshall knew BUPKIS about 9/11–and there is NOT–THEN you might could close your eyes to the fact that all these “anomalies” happened in a town where the Sheriff’s most serious responsibilities involve annual crowd control while people are watching frogs jump.

  9. Dan, while most of what you say is well reasoned you missed the crucial aspect of this case which is the so called ‘investigation’.

From the start it stunk. How could the kids have ‘appeared to have been sleeping’ through getting shot by a glock 9mm. There was no mention of any bedding or pillows (an ‘expedient noise suppressor’). No mention of pictures taken at the crime scene (so I agree about Madsen, how does he conclude that the fatal shot to Marshall was in his left temple).

    More oddities.

The toxicology results are due to be back between today and next week but they didn’t do a paraffin test to see if he’d fired his gun. There’s a post at the calaverasenterprise.com where the writer said he’d recently joked about having the gun but no bullets.

The family also had a cat. The cat was not reported to have been shot. And the dog (a little yap-yap dog) was shot in a bedroom but the kids were sleeping in the living room? On a school night?

The media up there has been leaked conflicting information. One report says the time of death was Saturday a 3 pm, when the bodies were found. This was to be the “official time of death” (reported by the uniondemocrat.com). Another said that the time of death was probably Thursday night, when the kids quite returning text messages and the like.

In another report a county supervisor who knew Philip Marshall well was called by the sheriffs and asked her opinion as to whether or not an outsider had killed all three. It was her feeling that “someone came into the house”. Then it appears that the sheriffs may have been attempting to get her to change her mind because despite her original impression, she end with “I guess you never know what goes on behind closed doors”.

And closed doors is what this investigation has taken place behind.

Here are the press releases from the sheriffs dept.

A Murphys man identified as Phillip Marshall (54) took the life of his two juvenile children before taking his own life in an apparent murder-suicide. On February 2, 2013 at 3:10 pm Calaveras Sheriff’s deputies were called to a residence on the 1200 block of Sandalwood Drive in the Forest Meadows subdivision, Murphys, for a suspicious circumstance/welfare check. The reporting parties, who are friends of the two victims, told investigators that they had not heard from the victims since Thursday,

They also discovered the family dog deceased in a bedroom.

The reason for the murder-suicide is unknown at this time.

On February 2, 2013 Calaveras County Sheriff’s deputies and investigators investigated a double murder-suicide that occurred at a residence on the 1200 block of Sandalwood Drive in the Forest Meadows subdivision, Murphys.

It was further determined that Phillip Marshall’s son and daughter, Alex Marshall (17) and Macaila Marshall (14), were asleep on the couch at the time they were shot. Foul play by outside persons has been ruled out, and evidence at the scene confirmed that Phillip Marshall was the shooter. The time of death is still being examined.

And isn’t ‘contempt’ a strongish feeling about those who are simply confused by this HACK JOB of an investigation? Doesn’t the dead guy deserve a defense, a right to clear his name if he’s innocent and proof of guilt if he’s going to be blamed for it?

Dan, not even his kids can clear his name if he’s innocent, and for the coroner to say “they appear to be sleeping” and saying that it’s a “good question” how the slept through both of them getting shot and saying “the toxicology results” might shed some light on how that’s possible… It’s just insulting to the public’s intelligence.

It appears to be a “conspiracy” to keep jobs they are not competent to handle.

So on this point I think you’re wrong, but thanks for piping up. 🙂 I do think there’s more to this than meets the eye, however.

  10. This is a must read by Dan Hopsicker – Hopsicker brought Barry Seal’s widow to meet with me at Enterprise during the late 90’s. Debbie Seal gave me the photo of Barry and the Boys in Mexico City in Feb 1963 that Sunday morning before she left.

Hopsicker used it on the cover of his book – Barry and the Boys – I have posted it on the front page of Insider-Magazine.com and have had it there since 2004. I am hoping the late Phil Marshall stumbled upon something that will surface from his year- long association with Barry going back to Barry Seals employment with Carlos Marcello – New Orleans Crime Boss long suspected of murdering President John F. Kennedy in 1963? Maybe this is the answer to Dan Hopsicker’s question – if it had been anyone else – we could forget it – but those of us with our asses on line have come to agree “That just because we are sometimes paranoid doesn’t mean these guys are not out to get us and silence us with 6 feet of dirt”….
