Many of Daniel’s readers have asked when Gangster Planet will be released. The answer is “as soon as possible.” Daniel and I started working on the book maybe a year, possibly less, before lockdown. Before that we’d met face-to-face only twice. We had a lot of mutual friends and had communicated through web-based forums.

I thought I knew Daniel’s work until I began researching with him every single day. He had already forgotten, by then, more than I would ever know. We found ourselves telling each other how complicated the story we are dealing with is. It’s huge. I am working as fast as I am able to organize the many aspects of Gangster Planet into one comprehensible whole–the tedious work of putting together one jigsaw puzzle when several other puzzles have been dumped into the mix. How to sort out all the extraneous bits when they seem so similar?

If you, like me, are missing Daniel, you will enjoy seeing the work he did that began his new career launched at about the same time I first met him online. The year was 1998.

It was part of a series called “Phenomenon”.

Daniel was involved in making two episodes before he became too involved with writing “Barry and ‘the boys’”. It’s available through Amazon Prime’s freevee.

Phenomenon: The Lost Archives

Season 1
A documentary series that takes an in-depth look at the topics found in recently declassified government documents, examining well-known issues with new information that has been sequestered from the public for over sixty years.

American Midnight.
In a small Arkansas town, two young men are found dead on the train tracks. But upon investigation it becomes unclear whether they were hit by a train or the operators of a major drug ring with ties to the Iran-Contra scandal.

Monopoly Men was the second episode Daniel made for that series.
During the Wilson Presidency, the U.S. Government sanctioned the creation of the Federal Reserve. Thought by many to be a government organization maintained to provide financial accountability in the event of a domestic depression, the actual business of the FED is shrouded in secrecy. People of the world will be shocked to discover that the principal

business of the FED is to print money from nothing, lend it to the U.S. Government and charge interest on these loans. Who keeps the interest? Good question. Find out as the connective tissue between this and other top secret international organizations is explored.

Enjoy.

Thanks for your input. It will be released very soon. But it’s more than one story and quite complicated. Daniel wanted the reader to be able to understand how all the facets fit together but it is difficult to write one book in such a way that what he discovered over 20 years all fits together.

  2. The thing with any piece of work, especially a work of art that segments reality, is that it will never, really, be finished.

At some point, you need to surmise what you have and release it, imperfections, and all. You can always come back and edit and re-release later.

If you don’t release, you are simply opening yourself to accusations that you are attempting a smother up of Daniel’s final work, which I am sure is not the case.

There will always be more pieces to the jigsaw of “truth.”

If you are waiting for every last piece, well, it’s just not going to happen.
